This summer, we’re turning our focus to Mid-Century Modern architecture, an era that is quickly becoming historic in its own right.
Homes from the 1950s and 60s represent a shift toward clean lines, innovation, and a new way of living. They were designed with intention, often blending indoor and outdoor spaces and embracing simplicity in a way that still feels fresh today. As these homes age, many are being altered or lost before they are fully appreciated, which makes this the right moment to start paying closer attention.
We’re kicking off the summer with an open house at a standout example designed by John F. Hyde Jr.—often referred to as the elusive Omaha architect.
This home features incredible original details, vaulted ceilings, and a sweeping view of the Missouri River, offering the perfect introduction to a style that deserves recognition and celebration.
Stop by, take a look, and start to see this era through a new lens. You can look forward to several opportunities to celebrate Mid-Century Modern architecture with us this summer.
