This Old Castle: Decorative Plaster Molds and Casts

Our next This Old Castle: Plaster Workshop will have us getting down and dusty, as we tackle the delicate dance that is decorative plaster and molding repair. Utilizing skills and traditions that span centuries, Preserve Omaha's The Jo(h)ns will guide us in the planning, preparation, and execution of repairing, patching, and replicating decorative trim around your home.
From crown molding, to rosettes, to baseboards, attendees will go home with the skills and tools to tackle these repairs that have flummoxed generations of homeowners.
We’ll meet at the basement of the Joslyn Castle on Saturday, August 2nd from 9am-12pm. Due to the dusty nature of working with plaster of Paris, this workshop will take place partially, if not entirely outdoors (weather permitting). Dress accordingly!
