Preserve Omaha is excited to bring you POPUPs (Preserve Omaha Pop-Up Parties)! These pop-ups are events specially cultivated for Preserve Omaha members and provide exclusive insider tours of hidden (and not-so-hidden) Omaha gems. Mix and mingle with the Preserve Omaha board and other members while learning about Omaha’s history!
Preserve Omaha’s December pop-up will be at the historic Scottish Rite Masonic Center! Scottish Rite, designed by prolific Omaha architect John Latenser, was completed in 1914. Latenser’s design reflects Greek architecture, which is also significant in Masonic symbolism. This beautiful building is described as “the pinnacle of Latenser’s works” in this particular style. Many of the original details of the building remain. The theater is particularly stunning, including the original organ, some of the original seats (with hat racks!), and exquisite hand-painted backdrops.
Join us for a holiday cocktail party on Thursday, December 12th, from 6:00-9:00 PM. Eat, drink, and be merry as we raise our glasses to preservation happening in the Omaha area. Tours of Scottish Rite will be provided so you can see all of the glorious details up-close and in person. Plus, we have an extremely exciting preservation announcement to make, and attendees get to hear it first - you won’t want to miss out! Make sure to dress for the occasion - cocktail attire encouraged!
Preserve Omaha’s holiday pop-up is our way of celebrating YOU, so (free!) registration is limited to members only. Not yet a member? Register on our website today!
Beer and wine will be available for purchase with cash or card.
We can’t wait to see you there!
