5611 Leavenworth
The English Tudor Revival home at 5611 Leavenworth Street has been carefully preserved by current owners William Minier and Rebecca Anderson since purchasing the home in 1986. Over the years, they have completed several restoration projects while maintaining many of the home’s original architectural features and historic character.
Becky Anderson contacted Preserve Omaha for guidance on restoration projects, including repairs to decorative plasterwork in the dining room. Preserve Omaha connected the homeowners with Stephen Bartlett of Heritage Painting and Restorations. Originally from New England, Bartlett has worked in professional finishing and restoration for more than 30 years and has specialized in restoration projects in Omaha since 2008. Together, the project reflects the homeowners’ ongoing commitment to preserving the craftsmanship and historic integrity of the home.
The Jo(h)ns and a Jeremy also tackled several important repairs, including fixing a particularly stubborn door and tracking down a leak in the attic.
